Abstract

A spacer (4) disposed between first and second battery cells (3) is provided with corrugated parts (25). Said corrugated parts (25) are provided with alternating first protruding parts (41) and second protruding parts (42) that repeat continuously in the vertical direction. Each first protruding part (41) protrudes towards the first battery cell (3) from the thicknesswise center (C) such that a gap that that serves as a cooling channel (31) is formed between said first protruding part and the second battery cell (3). Each second protruding part (42) protrudes towards the second battery cell (3) from the thicknesswise center (C) such that a gap that serves as a cooling channel (30) is formed between said second protruding part and the first battery cell (3). The spacer (4) is also provided with straight parts (27) that extend in a direction that intersects the cooling channels (30, 31). Said straight parts (27) prevent the corrugated parts (25) from expanding in a direction perpendicular to the cooling channels (30, 31).
